Baby Back Ribs

Every summer we make way too many racks of ribs and eat them all!  Ribs are one of our most favourite things to eat on a hot summer day, so naturally we decided to share two recipes, one of which is our most favourite.


Memphians love their ribs and are very particular on how to prepare them.  They swear by this dry-rub recipe.
Memphis style dry-rub:
2 tbsp. kosher salt2 tbsp. dark brown sugar2 tbsp. paprika1 tbsp. dried oregano1 tbsp. ground black pepper1 tbsp. garlic powder1 tbsp. onion powder1 tsp. dried thyme1 tsp. dried marjoram1 tsp. dried parsley1 tsp. ground cumin1 tsp. dry mustard1 tsp. celery seeds1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper1/2 tsp. ground fennel seeds1/2 tsp. ground white pepperMix all ingredients together to make the perfect rub.  This spice rub can be stored if properly sealed for up to 6 months.  
Basting Juice: 3/4 cup apple cider vinegar 1/2 cup Memphis style dry-rub

Salads You'll Crave

It's the same thing over and over, it happens to all of us.  You decide to eat healthy and then all of a sudden you start craving junky bad food and sticking to your healthy choices seems impossible.  Well after many many years of struggling, I have come up with a few healthy and actually delicious salads that I always go to when I need a healthy fix.  Welcome to Salad's You'll Crave, a series of my favourite and most craveworthy salads.

A modern take on a classic Nicoise salad
TJ's Salad Nicoise:
This is a fun modern take on the classic Nicoise salad.  We like to spice it up with some extra goodies too.  This serves two people generously, adjust to serve your part size.

Salad:
